The torrential rain stopped only moments before this young and lovely couple were about to walk down the aisle. This wedding was held at a family acreage in Didsbury, Alberta. The groomsmen were sharply dressed in deep black with hot pink ties, the bridesmaids rocked hot pink cocktail dresses with black lace and cowgirl boots. I loved the vibrant pops of colour paired with the rustic, barnwood details of the country wedding. I was thrilled to hear that the bride wanted to incorporate her beautiful horses into some of the bridal portraits & it was so cool seeing the newlyweds celebrate their nuptials by using a branding iron with their new family name following the ceremony.
The sun came out just in time for a wedding portraits by the bridge with the family’s vintage burgundy Ford truck. This wedding party was fun and energetic and was a delight to capture! I loved all the vintage details at the reception, from the 12 gauge shells with place cards, the vintage license plate table numbers & all the guest got to sign a quilt hanging outside for the bride and groom.
Primary Photographer for this event was the lovely & talented Janelle Awe from Janelle Awe Photography! I have been a follower of her work for since I started my photography business in Alberta. I was thrilled to have the opportunity to work with her & for a rustic country wedding at that. Thanks to Janelle for this amazing opportunity & I hope we can work together more in the future!
